Testing some things

In case you didn’t notice this is a new blog.  I’ll be testing some things including the way the blog is handled and how it looks.  Please bear with me for a few weeks while I get things the way I like them.  Sure I could have had it ready to go before I went live but where’s the fun in that?

Jumper – A Review

Jumper was originally a novel by Steven Gould that made the jump to the theatre.  Get it. Unfortunately the movie is about as good as that joke. It starts out with the main character calling me a chump.  A bad sign considering I already heard how terrible the movie is.  However, considering it has Samuel L. Jackson in it I had to rent it.  Another bad sign is 15 minutes in when my wife asked, “Is this really a movie?”  On a positive note it does have some amazing scenes in Hi-Def.  Samuel L. Jackson also does a great job playing the oh so well known character that he plays in a lot of his movies which makes this movie bearable.  There was a point where I was thinking that it wasn’t a terrible waste of time.  That’s when it ended and left me wondering why I just wasted all that time.  This is absolutely one of those movies that leaves you asking a bunch of questions.  As a matter of fact I think had they answered the questions they brought up this movie would have been good.  Instead, it seems, they want to leave it open.  Perhaps they are paving the way for a second movie which will probably be made since they know they can turn a profit.  Same reason movies like Disaster Movie get made.  Do your best to avoid this movie.

IUPUI Frustration

So on Thursdays I have an hour and a half break during lunch which I use to eat lunch with my wife just like every other day.  We didn’t want McDonalds (again) so I gave up my parking spot to pick her up.  It took me 30 minutes to find a spot once we were done.  Not a good spot either, but I digress.

My one o’clock class was supposed to be on Tuesdays but was changed to Thursdays which is great for me or I’d have 11:30 to 3:00 where I’m just sitting around with my thumb up my butt.  The first Thursday she says we are meeting on Tuesdays but all but a few people where already there so she changed it.  Little did I know she changed it back which means now I have a three and a half hour break between classes and have to be here earlier on Tuesday.  I guess it will give me time to study my math.  Or just surf the interwebs.  Needless to say I’m slightly irritated today.
