Free Chips and Queso

Qdoba sent me a coupon for free chips and queso for being awesome. It doesn’t look like there are any restrictions other than the normal ones and it doesn’t seem to be tied to me. My wife and I used one each today to get some and they were good. Try it yourself!

Palin slaps Obama Across the Face

Today Palin slapped Obama across the face and said, “Five across the face!” while she did it. At least that is how I imagined it when I read the headline over at Reuters. Palin defends qualifications, slaps Obama was not as interesting an article as I thought it could have been. Still, I enjoyed what they had to say about the whole thing. Maybe they don’t realize some people take all the news from headlines alone. The same people that vote straight ticket. Especially those darned Republicans!

Third Day in Bloomington

My wife ran across a site saying Third Day is coming to Bloomington on November 7th.  Since we just saw them and they were awesome I thought I’d check it out to see what the deal was.  I couldn’t find anything on Ticketmaster about it but I did on a small site called iTicket.com.  I wasn’t sure about them but a Google search turned up many people with good things to say.  I decided to call them and a nice woman answered and told me all about the company and how they do presales for a lot of concerts like this.  They had the Gold Circle seating available so I went for it.  $35 each later and we’re going to see Third Day again this fall.  The seats should be good because the presale just started today and Ticketmaster won’t start selling until the 12th.  I hope to find out my exact seat number soon.  She said only 150 of those seats are available so regardless they will be great seats. For those interested you can get your tickets at the iTickets website here.

Google’s New Browser “Chrome”

Excuse me if I’m a day late and a dollar short to the party (whatever that means), but In case you didn’t notice Google has come out with their very own browser called “Chrome”.  They outline their logic behind creating a new browser with this cartoon.  Since I take all cartoons seriously this helped me to understand why I shouldn’t just use Firefox or IE or Safari.  It is open source just like Firefox and uses components from Webkit like Safari.  It has all the standard features you would expect plus some nicities like address bar auto completion and a standard page that shows your top visited site with pictures!  I”ll stick with my Firefox but this would be great for many people I know.  If you are into new things I suggest at least downloading and trying Google’s browser Chrome.
