Run iPhone apps in the Background

Backgrounder is available for your Jailbroken iPhone through Cydia. What does this mean? You can finally truly multitask on the iPhone. This is something that should be officially coming at some point but should really have been enabled in 2.0 of the iPhone firmware. I’m still testing it out but so far it is working like a champ. The most use I’m going to get out of it is to be able to listen to Last.fm while checking mail or playing Spore. If you still haven’t Jailbroken now is the time. If you have then fire up Cydia and check in changes. It is small and you’ll be happy you have it.
Once you have it installed all you have to do is hold the home button down for a few seconds in the app. You’ll see the pop-up in the image below. It will then exit the program but it will continue to run in the background. To close it just open the app and do the same thing. You can even set up programs that you always want to run in the background.

I’m Sorry

To the person who wanted to park where I was parked,

I realize that you can save a few cents by using a parking meter that already has time on it.  I don’t understand why you would wait so long in the space directly behind me for me to leave.  At first I didn’t believe that is what you were actually doing and I had to eat my tasty chocolate chip cookie anyway which was going to take a few minutes.  When you sat there doing nothing I realized that perhaps you were waiting to pull up one car length closer to the City Market building.  Just to play with you I checked my email on my phone and wasted about 5 minutes until you got out of your car and walked to your meter.  That’s when I pulled away.  I noticed that you did in fact get back into your car and pull up.  I just want to apologize for being rude and not driving off right away.  I’m sort of surprised you were willing to wait 5+ minutes for my spot while not even knowing if any time was on the meter.  For the record I had 9 minutes left when I got in the car.  So I hope you at least enjoyed the free 4 minutes that I paid for.  I’m sure you needed it since you were driving a Jaguar and I’m sure the payments are outrageous.
